Outcome of pregnancies with increased nuchal translucency

چکیده
Methods A total of 1490 pregnant women were assessed for first trimester ultrasonography. They had routinely measured crown-rump length (CRL) and nuchal translucency (NT) for screening for Down syndrome between 11 and 14 weeks of gestation. Cases with a NT≥3 mm were counselled further regarding the risk of chromosomal abnormality and prenatal diagnosis by fetal karyotyping. A complete follow-up was obtained in all cases by a review of medical records.

I-44: Increased Nuchal Translucency at 11-14 Weeks of Gestation As A Marker for Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes
Background: To evaluate the association of increased fetal nuchal translucency( NT) and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Materials and Methods: In a prospective study, 2221 women who were conceived after Assisted Conception were investigated by sonography independent of multiplicity between 11 and 13 weeks' gestation. We performed 2899 NT examinations during the study period(21 March 2010 to 21...
متن کاملEvaluation of Nuchal Translucency Measuremen in First Trimester Pregnancy
Background A significant number of pregnancies, particularly in women with previous histories of infertility, are associated with fetal abnormalities. Methods such as the nuchal translucency (NT) measurement enable us to identify more pregnancies with chromosomal abnormalities. MaterialsAndMethods This analytic cross-sectional study was performed in 446 pregnant women at 11-14 weeks gestation, ...

AIM To evaluate the prevalence of increased nuchal translucency (NT) in multiple pregnancies and its relation to fetal karyotype and pregnancy outcome. METHODS We measured fetal nuchal translucency (NT) in 6,338 women pregnant from 10+3 to 13+6 weeks by ultrasound and evaluated the prevalence of NT=95th centile in 115 multiple pregnancies, including 100 pairs of twins (70 dichorionic and 30 m...
متن کاملOutcome of pregnancy in chromosomally normal fetuses with increased nuchal translucency in the first trimester.
OBJECTIVES To study the outcome of chromosomally normal pregnancies with increased nuchal translucency at the 10-14-week scan. DESIGN Retrospective study of 1320 chromosomally normal singleton pregnancies with nuchal translucency of > or = 3.5 mm. In addition to fetal karyotyping these patients were managed with follow-up scans at 14-16 and 20-22 weeks, specialist fetal echocardiography and i...

متن کاملPregnancy outcome for fetuses with increased nuchal translucency but normal karyotype.
OBJECTIVE To investigate pregnancy outcome for fetuses with nuchal translucency (NT) ≥3.5 mm but normal karyotype in the Stockholm (Sweden) area. METHODS A retrospective population-based cohort study. From 2006 to 2012, fetal NT was measured in 55123 singleton pregnancies. There were 341 pregnancies with NT thickness ≥3.5 mm; 139 had a normal karyotype, 164 had an abnormal karyotype and 38 we...
